Vishal Bali is a global data, analytics, and technology executive who has been the Managing Director of Asia and Emerging Markets at Thomson Reuters since January 2025. Based in Sydney, he is responsible for the company's growth strategy and business execution across Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and has emerged as a prominent industry voice on the adoption of AI within legal and professional services.
Vishal has more than two decades of leadership in the data, analytics and AI industries. His career began with Nielsen in Cyprus before he took on a series of increasingly significant regional and functional leadership roles including as Managing Director of Nielsen China. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Vishal was the Global Vice President at NIQ-GfK in London – spearheading the scaling of the company’s AI platform globally.
Over more than two decades, Vishal has gained extensive experience in translating data into commercial value – applied across a broad footprint of geographies and functions. Vishal has lived and led teams across seven countries spanning Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. This firsthand experience in navigating different markets, regulatory environments, and cultures gives him a distinct ability to lead the Asia and Emerging Markets teams at Thomson Reuters, where success depends on adapting global capability to a highly diverse set of economies.
