2018 has been a dynamic year for the GCC in taxation, both in the space of direct and indirect. This changing tax landscape have encouraged businesses to assess and understand the impact of these reforms on their business and its operations.

Thomson Reuters and Aurifer conducted the Tax Readiness Survey amongst businesses in UAE and KSA to get an understanding of how they have been adapting to the introduction of VAT and BEPS in the region. The results have highlighted the IT, resource challenges across the VAT and BEPS space, as well as key learnings that businesses are working on to improve and simplify processes as more reforms are expected in this region.
