There are only a few months to go before Phase 2 of the e-invoicing regime in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia goes live. In this video, Helal Alrefai, Senior Tax Analyst at Thomson Reuters MENA, sits down with Abdulaziz Abdulrahman, GL & Zakat/Tax Senior Manager at Bahri, a Fellow Tax Adviser and an internal controls expert, to discuss the steps taxpayers must take to meet complex technical and security requirements.   

Phase 2, known as the ‘Integration Phase’, will be implemented in waves from 1 January 2023. If preparations are not yet underway, it is critical to begin without delay to ensure tax teams are fully equipped, and all systems have been thoroughly tested and validated.

About the interviewee

Abdulaziz Abdulrahman is a qualified finance professional with in-depth knowledge of the Zakat, Tax and VAT landscape, and over a decade of experience in managing corporate performance, financial reporting, project budgeting and internal control systems..

He is a GL & Zakat/Tax Senior Manager at Bahri, a Fellow Tax Adviser and an internal controls expert. Prior to joining Bahri, the national shipping carrier of Saudi Arabia, Abdulaziz worked with the CPC Group and Dur Hospitality Co.
